What a week!
Well, it was an eventful week, wasn't it? Record snow across much of the country, lots of towns and cities shutting down for snow days - even in places that normally never shut down! It was really eventful here, and Zoe and I had a few laughs. You saw our snow pictures - that's not normal here. Our mom doesn't (er didn't) even own a shovel, so she was out in our driveway scooping the snow away with a trash can. (The snow was very light and powdery). To make it worse, the snow plow had decided that he would pile his snow right where our mom needed to pull out, so she had to move that snow too. Her neighbor (who is from New Orleans and also doesn't own a snow shovel) packed the snow down with his truck so she could pull out. Of course, she still got stuck, so he pulled her out with his truck. Zoe and I were about to split our sides, we were laughing so hard. If she would have fallen down, that would have been the straw that broke the camel's back and we probably both would have passed out from laughter! Then on Friday we got MORE snows, so her company let everyone go early. This weekend the temperatures finally got above freezing, so things are slowly melting. Another storm is due in Tuesday or Wednesday that may bring another 10 inches - holy cows! Zoe, we need to take a tip from the bears and just sleep through winter! I'll start....

Everybody is walking around in shorts and flip-flops, headed for Superbowl parties that feel more like the 4th of July!

Holy moly!! Another storm is coming in??!? What the heck is Mother Nature thinking?? We mean, it's okay for us to get bunches of snow...because we live in the north, but you guys shouldn't get snow like that! That's just crazy!!

At least we know our weather, but you kitties over the huge ocean seem to be having a nasty unpredictable time. We are safe and happy with our snow (and äiti is getting better at shovelling it).

ReplyDeleteFuzzy, you sure have the right idea. Just sleep through all that snow. You two are so very funny laughing at your Mom getting stuck in the snow. We sure hope that you don't get more snow. Poor Mom will get stuck again. Not fun. Take care and have a great week.

I think sleeping through winter sounds like a plan to me!
ReplyDeleteIt was warm all day sunday and then sunday nite it actually rained for about a half hour turning our snow to mush. Overnight it refroze into a big sheet of ice and there it sits waiting for Tuesdays storm to add another inch or two. Oh i hope its only an inch or two.

ReplyDeleteHi Kitties! We have missed seeing you since mom was in Exile but we are getting nice and caught up now! We think it is so weird you got so much snow there! We got a lot, but that is expected here (well, ok, maybe not that much, and not at one time). The plow guys here plowed our driveway like that too - but it was to the top of the hood of our dad's truck! He just pushed his way out but then still had to shovel the area so mom's little car could get out. We hope you don't really get that much more snow- that is crazy if you do!
