As soon as I'm done with my baff, I'm going to take a nap! And even though my mom says it's too hot to sleep on her, I'm going to do it anyway!
As far as our commenting problem, sorry we were a little unclear. We know things on the Internets aren't perfect. There are dozens of versions of dozens of browsers for several operating systems, and dozens more versions of dozens of other applications that are used by said browsers. So, when there is a hang up or a glitch on a few web sites for our particular browser version, OS, and other apps, so be it. We seriously didn't want anyone to change settings, which is why we didn't mention any names. Like we said in the last post, we know some have already changed their settings to hopefully help others who couldn't leave comments. We've been trying to figure out exactly what it is that is causing the hang ups, and we could really only narrow it down to some sites that have many links on their pages (which the Lounge Cats also mentioned in our comments). Basically, what it seems to be doing is trying to access each and every link before it will allow the comment box to populate - otherwise it's just blank (and on bad days/nights, it seems to timeout and will never populate). But again, if it's not this issue for us, it'll be another issue for someone else. Such is the world of Internet apps! We probably shouldn't have brought this up at all since we weren't really looking for anyone to do anything - we were just feeling a little guilty about not being able to comment on some blogs after not checking blogs for a few days.
OK, now, off to nap!
It's either too hot or too cold or too light or too whatever to sleep on Äiti- Poor RIlli-ukko got moved about 10 times last night - but he never gives up! We hope you have a good night's rest - forget about your Mom.

ReplyDeleteAbout The browser, Mom used to use Safari and it's so slow, then she use the google chrome. And then it's run fast and we love it. and we know we have a long list link too because it's easy to go to all of friends page more than use the dashboard and it's hard to miss and we can see the new comments coming to our post as well without have to change back and forward. So we think we have to stuck with it.

ReplyDeleteWe have troubles with some sites loading slowly also. Switching to Chrome helped, but still sometimes we have problems too. And what's really weird is that sometimes a site will load in an instant and work really fast and then suddenly in a day or two, be slow again. It's a Mystery of the Innernetz for sure! We just comment where we can and hope everyone understands. For whatever reasons, your site always works fine for us! Nosetaps.

Someone told me, a couple of years ago, that my pop-out comment form caused problems, and I switched to the regular comment form a long time ago (that kind that goes to another page). Computers are hard!

ReplyDeleteMom says that she understand completely - we were getting so frustrated with Blogger because we didn't want our friends to think we weren't reading their blogs, and how would they know if we couldn't comment. Switching to Google Chrome seems to have fixed the problem for us.
It's hard to not take a nap after a baff, it's feline nature. Hope your mom didn't push you off her.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, we were thinking of changing to embedded comments any way. The only thing wrong is that our photo doesn't show up in Blogger embedded comments for some reason, but shows up in all others, but that's Blogger for you.
